Bounded is a science-fiction thriller from November 2010, and my second original score. I was never altogether happy with this one, and it received criticism (quite rightly) that the music leads the action rather than underscoring it. I also feel I introduced too many themes to the project, which fight for space in the finished score.
The score opens with my second "Wingless Sting" variation (as with The Passage of Time), this one featuring a statement of the Marble Theme (or White Room Theme, more prominently heard at the start of "Hope & Despair"). The track continues with ambient scoring based around the descending Despair Theme. The film's major motif, The Rival, is introduced in "AM", first as simple chords played on a bell synth, and again with a full statement of the melody at the end of the track. Track three contains a brief reference to the "Love Theme" (also used in Her Voice), which also appears at the opening of track six, "Rival's Triumph". This cue features a grander, doom-laden version of The Rival as the villain secures his revenge.
The last four tracks are bonuses featuring additional versions of The Rival, and an alternate playing of track six.
