Camera Obscura was an idea proposed as early as 2010, and was finally reworked as our submission for a short film competition held by the social networking site Loccit. Two edits exist; one for the competition including references to Loccit and its tagline, and the shorter edit released under Wingless Films online. The Loccit version features an additional flashback of my character looking through photos with his girlfriend. We later contributed to Metal Snare Production's entry in the same competition, A Deadly Interview (the music for which can be found here).
The score is based around a central theme composed during scoring on Sanctuary (two demos of which are included at the end of the album). The use of the motif was inspired by "Rose's Theme" by Murray Gold (Doctor Who), particularly the use of its simple, striking piano notes heralding Rose and the Doctor's reunion in the 2008 episode, "The Stolen Earth" -- a moment used for inspiration for the "Forever" scene shot at the Plymouth seafront (track three). Track two features an additional intro excised from the film.
