Desert of Two Devils was our submission for Imperfect Cinema in February 2012: The underground film group run by Allister Gall and Dan Paolantonio put out a call for one-minute films to be screened at their Cocktails & Consequences night at the Plymouth Arts Centre, although we admittedly overstepped the one-minute mark by a little.
The score is comprised of a single cue for the short, based around a simple, four-chord structure played on piano, sitar and strings. The track contains a back-reference to Chase the Dragon, utilizing the same distorted guitar under the reveal of the two bottles, suggesting one may contain a potentially toxic substance, as with the hallucinatory pills in the earlier film. The Wingless Sting (first appearing in The Passage of Time) appears at the end of the track, heard for the last time in a Wingless production.
